"I'm Graduated!"

Tucker is now a Joy School graduate and VERY excited about it! He has loved learning and making new friends. If ever he was asked if he was in preschool he would say, "No, Joy School."
This is his "best buddy" Jayden, he loves Jayden!!

It was a fun evening. On the program was a little skit put on by the Joy School cupcakes. They did The 3 Bears. Tuck scored the role of Papa bear which he took very seriously. He was fun to watch and smiled and knew every line!

Here's the graduate receiving his diploma. He loved his hat, he felt very important in it.

This is Tucker's "lovey dovey". He said, "Maci is the most beautifulest here tonight!" SO cute! We love Maci, she's a sweetie and it's fine by Chris and I if they pursue this relationship.

All the little graduates.

HOORAY!

Still Poofy

Tatum, I seriously love this girl, she's a girl after my own heart. So it's the middle of the night and she's had her second bad dream, we were finished snuggling and she was standing to go back to her bed when she says, "Look mom, you're laying on her hair just right, it's still poofy." She knows how super important it is to always have fancy and poofy hair. The higher the hair the closer to God, that's our motto. When it rains I love how she insists we run because "it's ruining our hair"! She's my girlie, my princess, and my sweet heart.

29 and SO Old!

Chris had birthday, he thinks they're no big deal. He thinks it's important to remain cool and bad 'a' at all times. He can remember when he was my age. He's 29 and old. He hearts Oregano's so that's where we went to celebrate with our fabulous friends the Milnes prior to his "unimportant" day.

I say birthday's are important. It's your one and only day a year. I say who cares what the birthday boy thinks, we have a party. The birthday boy requested hot brownies and ice cream so that's what the birthday boy got.

I made him get a family picture and smile, I'm a mean wife. We like Tucker's finger up his nose. He liked his party and his friends. He liked his Garmin Edge 305 I got him for his special day, he's obsessed, he spends way to much time on it. It's a good thing birthdays are important.
It's been quite the year and he's quite the guy! He's a fabulous father, a killer comedian, a wicked griller, a mean biker (who holds the record for hairiest legs!), and a lovely husband!

Girlie Night

It was Father's and Sons campout this weekend and while the boys were away the girls played.
It wouldn't be a girl's night if there wasn't food involved; we started the evening correctly and met at a restaurant for dinner.

This was my date, isn't she darling!!

After dinner we headed to my house to play dress up. We dolled up the girlies in their daddy's shirts and our jewels and shoes and had a photo shoot. We're thinking Father's Day! Tatum was having hard minute and couldn't seem to find her smile.

That's my girl: happy, darling, full of personality, and fun!
We watched Enchanted and ate yummy snacks to complete our evening out!

A Pair of Shoes

A Pair of Shoes
I am wearing a pair of shoes.
They are ugly shoes.
Uncomfortable shoes.
I hate my shoes.
Each day I wear them and each day I wish I had another pair.
Some days my shoes hurt so bad that I do not think I can take another step.
Yet, I continue to wear them.
I get funny looks wearing these shoes.
I can tell in others eyes that they are glad they are my shoes and not theirs.
They never talk about my shoes.
To learn how awful my shoes are might make them uncomfortable.
To truly understand these shoes you must walk in them.
But, once you put them on you can never take them off.
I now realize that I am no the only one who wears these shoes.
There are many pairs in this world.
Some women ache daily as they try and walk in them.
Some have learned how to walk in them so they don't hurt quite as much.
Some have worn the shoes so long that days will go by before they think about how
much they hurt. No woman deserves to wear these shoes.
Yet, because of these shoes I am a stronger woman.
These shoes have given me the strength to face anything.
They have made me who I am.
I will forever walk in the shoes of a woman who has lost a child.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

Many of you who know me know that I mess things up on a regular basis. By messing things up I mean most holidays, birthdays and every Sunday morning. However, the one holiday I seem to mess up on a regular basis is Mother’s Day. Regardless of my efforts (or lack thereof) I find a way to disappoint my wife. This year I’m trying to do better.

Heidi is one of the best mother’s I know. Many of you know this because you have seen our children…always dressed to impress, well-behaved, courteous, kind, loving, thoughtful, etc. Tatum, Tucker and Jersey know they are loved and Heidi proves this every single day. She selflessly serves our family ALL day and never asks anything in return. She is always there to play, comfort, spend time, read, educate, discipline when needed or whatever is needed at that time. Our kids are very well taken care of ALL because of Heidi.

When I asked Tatum why she loved her Mommy, her response was as follows:
1. She plays with me.
2. She is beautiful.
3. She always dresses pretty.
4. She is nice.
5. I love her.
6. She is the bestest Mommy.
7. She sits by me.

When I asked Tucker why he loved his Mommy, his response was as follows:
1. She jumps on the tramp.
2. She likes Ninja (Tucker’s turtle).
3. She likes Jersey.
4. She is pretty.
5. She is nice.
6. She looks like a beautiful flower.

Jersey loves her Mommy for all the same reasons as Tatum and Tucker. Jersey has seen first hand the selflessness of Heidi. She spent countless hours at the hospital singing, talking, reading, loving and standing next to Jersey. Heidi always let Jersey know how much she loved her and how much her family loves her. There is not a doubt in my mind Jersey felt Heidi’s love and knew she would do anything for her. Jersey loves her Mommy!!!

Heidi, in case I forget to say this out loud…Happy Mother’s Day!!! I love you very much and am thankful for everything you do for our family. Tatum, Tucker, Jersey and I all adore you and are thankful for your countless acts of service you provide daily. YOU ARE THE BEST!

WE HEART YOU MORE!!!
Me, Tatum, Tucker, Jersey

Wedding Weekend

Chris's sister was married this weekend. She was a lovely bride and it was a lovely day! Her sealing was lovely as well. At the end of the ceremony, just before they were married, the sealer asked them to look around. He then said they couldn't see every person that was in attendance, that there were those who were permitted to attend this special ordinance. I've never heard that said before and found it no coincidence it was impressed upon the sealer to mention angels. I hoped my Jersey was there, I wished her to be so and I am so grateful it was confirmed to me that she was. There was an empty spot right next to Chris during the ceremony so, in my mind, I imagined she was right next to her Daddy enjoying this special day.

In the rush of the morning we forgot Tucker's socks. I was certain a melt down was to follow but thanks to my mother we were spared! Instead, he borrowed her Halloween socks and was thrilled to show them to anybody who asked.

Tatum was SO excited to see Amy on her "special white day"!

Aren't we cute!

Tatum couldn't get enough of Amy and followed her everywhere. She thought Amy looked beautiful, and she did!

Killing time driving to pictures. Jill, me, and Brooke (Chris's 2 other sisters) thought we'd pass the time by seeing how ugly our faces could get. We laughed and laughed and enjoyed our time together.

Out of Tucker's Mouth

If this face looks innocent think again! We've had quite the week with Tucker's little mouth. Sit back and enjoy that this is NOT your son!

Monday: We're at Grandma and Grandpas for some yummy pizza and games when Tucker loudly informs us all: "Uncle Alan you're chunky!" I heard it and so did everybody else but nobody commented so AGAIN, even LOUDER, he repeats himself: "Uncle Alan, you're chunky."

Tuesday: The blondies and I are out to lunch when a man sits down at the table in front of us sporting a neck brace. Tucker loudly asked what was wrong with his back, loud enough for the lady he was with to turn around and answer him. Nice.

Thursday: I dropped off T&T to my friend's house so Chris and I could go to a dinner. My friend calls me 2 minutes later to tell me of the following conversation with Tuck.

Tucker: Who's in your belly?
Friend: Nobody.
Tucker: Why are you SO fat?
Seriously? Not just fat but SO fat.

Friday: We're at In N Out to devour hamburgers and a man next to us has enormous fingers, something clearly was medically wrong. Tuck starts laughing and LOUDLY says, "Mom, look at his fingers, they're HUGE!"

Saturday: We're at Costco in the restroom and Tucker walks out of the stall and says LOUDLY: "Look at her booty, it's chunky!"

How many times do we have to have the "we are all made differently but Heavenly Father loves us all the same; we look different but we're loved the same" talk? We had it again, just this week, before half of his naughtiness was spoken. He's hilarious, naughty, and out spoken and we sure love him!
