Short Hair = Love...Usually

There's just something about short hair that we love. It's more sassy, more attitude, more us. Not that we try to be snobby but we just can't help it with our short, a-lined hair. We love that our short hair bounces and that we can get it so poofy. What we very much don't like is what it looks like when we wake up! It takes a lot of work to get the knots and frizz out of this! In the mornings when I'm unsuccessfully trying to brush this rats nest Tatum delcares "No more hair cuts!" but, as soon as her hair is smoothed and it bounces when she walks she admires herself in the mirror and once again decides that she loves her short tresses.

AHHHHHHH.... a bug!

T & T got invited to spend the night at their Noni's house Sunday evening. When they go to Noni's house they do all sorts of cool things I'm to boring to do. Like their breakfast for example, my mom set them a cute table, made pink pancakes and called it the Sweet Heart Cafe. They of course loved it. Later in the day they went to the temple and had a photo shoot. In the top row, 5th picture Tuck looks like he's preaching a sermon and Tatum's sassy posse with her hands on her hips, 2nd row 4th picture are 2 of my favorites.

This video is so sweet and so Tatum. Could she be any more of a girl?

Donuts

This is us eating donuts, well, them eating donuts. Occassionally for a treat we stop by Basha's for a morning donut which is always super fun. They get to chose their very own donut and then we sit and enjoy them in the store. Well, we decided to make the trek Thursday morning and we were waiting in line and this sweet older lady was ahead of us and she was taking a little longer than usual. I had an extra girlie with me and my three rugrats kept touching everything and talking a little louder than they should which kept me reminding them to fold their arms, quit touching and CHILL OUT! Anyways, this sweet lady decides that we are going to be her "act of service" for the day and paid for our donuts. She had the biggest smile and was happy to cover our 4 donuts. I am thankful for suprises like these that make me stop and think of areas I could be helping others. I love the feeling I get when helping somebody because I love them, it's kind of intoxicating and I wish I could remember that feeling more as I'm sure I'd be more apt to search for opportunities to do anything I can for somebody else.

I went to my very first bead party last night and
and look what I made for Tater. The pictures don't do these cute neckalces justice but they're darling! But shhhhhh, don't ask her about them as she's not getting them until Valentine's Day and Easter.
I'm pretty sure going last night was a really big mistake as I'm feeling borderline obsessed! It's only been 10 hours since I left the girly, bead party and I already need another fix! My neck is aching for more bling bling and my fingers need to touch the smooth facets of the swarovski crystal. Needless to say, I'm gonna have a bead party. Anybody interested?

An Afternoon with the Princess

Aren't they gorgeous! Aren't those the cutest Belles and Snow White ever! We were so lucky to go to Disney Princess On Ice with some of our best friends, Sadie and Macie. The girlies got to wear make-up and their favorite princess.

Of course they had to do a kissing pose, what a girl date with fancy dresses and extra make-up with out the kissing lips!
The two sweetest Belles I've ever seen!

Tatum, Me, Macie, Sonia, and Sadie.

Even though Tater was dressed as Belle her favorite person was still Tinkerbell. It was so cute to watch her eyes light up when each new princess came out. I loved spending the afternoon with her doing something that made her heart so happy. I feel so lucky to have a princess like her, she brings joy and happiness to our lives; and of course a little spice of sassiness. But how we love her smile and blond bob. And her lisp, I will miss it when she grows out of it! Occasionally I'll talk with a lisp and she gets a really big smile on her face and she knows I'm teasing her. So cute! What would we do without her!

Birthday Boy's Big Birthday!

Happy, happy birthday Tucker dear!! My little guy turned 3! Oh how we love him. He is so smart and handsome I could eat him! Right now he is really into cowboys and super heroes specifically batman and spider man. One of my favorite outfits on him is his batman dress up with his cowboy boots, holsters, and cowboy hat. Every night he has to sleep with his "real gun" which is a play rifle and it has to come with us wherever we go ONLY if he'll leave it in the car. He picks up words really easy which makes him a great talker but mom and dad have to watch what they say because he repeats EVERYTHING! Whoops! And oh how he loves his dad and grandpas. I don't know, maybe it's a guy thing but he loves, loves to be with the boys; maybe it's because he's constantly surrounded by grils, as he would say. He is so sweet and tender. I'm amazed he still wants to snuggle with me and loves to be kissed; he asks to snuggle. He is precious and how I want to keep him small. Below is 3 years worth of fun.
Tuck loves Batman right now and for his birthday cake he requested a Batman cake. It turned out pretty dang good if I do say so myself!

He got this hat for a present and he's been obsessed with it ever since. We go every where in it, the Dr's., the store, our friends house, EVERYWHERE!

We got donuts at Basha's for his b-day. Here he is devouring it.

The cowboy got to hold some real guns. We went to see Old Papa, my grandpa, who has 38 guns and he was kind enough to let Tuck check them out. Notice the hat. AHHHHH, don't put your finger on the trigger!

For lunch Tucker got to choose where we ate and he chose McDonald's. Of all the places he chose McDonald's. Grandpa Sam and Tuck are pretty much obsessed with each other and Tuck wanted him to come. Before I took this picture he had to stuff, as fast as he could, a bite of hamburger into his mouth. And there's no question that the Anderson kids get their blue eyes from the Andersons.

Happy Noon Year's Eve!

We decided it would be so fun to take the rugrats to the zoo for Noon Year's Eve. Our really good friends Sadie, Macie, and Sonia came with us to share in the festivities. The zoo was a ... zoo. There were so many people there. We had to take a bus to the zoo as the parking lot was full. Tatum and Tucker had never ridden on a bus before so they were thrilled to be on one. There was 2 big piles of snow that T & T loved. For some reason they don't like to be cold, imagine that, so we didn't play too long. At noon the zoo passed out martinelli apple juice and we all toasted! Then off to see the animals. Somewhere along the trip a bird decided Tatum's pants were just the right spot for his business to land. We were laughing so hard, I didn't dare tell her what is was until it was cleaned off. Their favorite animal to see was the monkeys, who doesn't like monkeys. It's hard to go anywhere with 4 kids, I don't know how people do it! We had 3 adults and were pulled everywhere! I hope our Noon Year's Eve becomes a tradition.
